TLC Administrative Assistant

I'm Tanisha but I go by "T.” Although my title is a part-time administrative assistant, I bring full-time contribution to the practice. With over 20 years of medical assistance experience, I have a passion for helping people and becoming an advocate for those who are not able to help themselves. My administrative skills help consumers connect with our services and staff, I assist with medical record keeping, and I maintain the clinical director’s calendar. As a customer service veteran, I am aware of how important verbal and written communication is and I always bring my “T” game to help consumers who may be struggling to transcend over that hurdle. I believe that we all need help sometimes and I do my professional best to help consumers get connected with the quality clinicians of Transcending Limits as quickly and as seamlessly as possible.

Clinical Director

I usually go by Renee as it is easier for many of my clients to remember and pronounce. I am an independently Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, with Masters Degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling and I implement a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. I am a Nationally Certified Trauma-Focused Therapist (TF-CBT), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT), a Certified Sex-Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP), a Certified Tele-mental Health Provider (CTMH) and I have a specialization in Forensic Counseling. This specialization focuses on special populations such as veterans, geriatrics, children in foster care, and youth with juvenile justice involvement. I also provide services in a variety of formats including individuals, couples, families, and groups, depending on need, preference, and availability.

Tracy

Therapy is more than meetings on a schedule. It is a journey to empowerment. Along the way, the therapeutic process helps consumers to develop their self-confidence and self-esteem, while learning healthy and critical skills such as good communication, positive social skills and healthy boundaries. As a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-A), a Qualified Mental Health Professional, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), I use researched and evidence-based treatments to implement my eclectic approach with consumers who may struggle with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, Bipolar and Borderline Personality Disorder or PTSD. Many times clients struggle with being heard and understood, particularly those with Autism or other developmental disabilities and delays. Using a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, I work diligently to be that compassionate listening ear, as I provide services for children, teens, and adults. Services are available in individual, couple, family, and group format. Both in office and HIPAA-compliant Telehealth sessions are available to meet the individual’s scheduling needs.

Amber (Clinical Intern)

I believe that people need to have someone to listen to their concerns or problems that they may not be able to share with their family or friends. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I encourage individuals to explore ways to reach a better understanding of their self-confidence, self-esteem, and skills to handle everyday situations effectively. My internship is a time to merge my academic skills with real-life experience; this includes facilitating the Free Counseling Clinic, for those who may be struggling to pay for services or with Medicare. My academic portfolio includes a specialization in forensic counseling, which I will use to provide services to children, teens, and adults in individual, family, or group format. In person and HIPPA compliant telehealth sessions are available depending on consumer needs. .
